STEPS TO FOLLOW FOR TAKING THE NCLEX EXAM
Meanwhile, you should be preparing to pass the NCLEX Exam.
Before you can take the NCLEX Exam, you’ll need an Authorization to Test (ATT).
To get this, you’ll need to apply to your state of choice board of nursing and then register with Pearson VUE.
You’ll want to start this process well in advance of your target date for taking the exam, Board of Nursing
STEP 1: Credentials Evaluation Service (CES)
Go to CGFNS
Complete the state of choice online application
Pay necessary fees for (CES) Credentials Evaluation Service Academic Report Application $450.00
Gather documents for CGFNS and State Application
Submit documents for CGFNS and State Application
Once submitted, the evaluation process can take 12- 24 weeks (3-6 Months); CGFNS will send CES to the State and State decides whether the candidate is eligible to take the NCLEX.
STEP 2: Language Assessment
If the state of choice requires you meet the language assessment, fee is $210.00
STEP 3: TOEFL iBT® Test
GO TO TOEFL to begin The TOEFL iBT® test, is administered via the internet, and it’s offered more than 50 times a year at ETS-authorized test centers, in Puerto Rico there’s two, Hato Rey & Mayaguez

Once you’ve met the CGFNS guidelines and passed the TOEFL AND ONLY after the board of nursing/regulatory body (BON/RB) declares you eligible, you will receive an Authorization to Test (ATT) email.
STEP 4: Register with Pearson Vue for NCLEX Exam
Register to test with Pearson Vue and pay $200 testing fee.
